Sisters visit!

My two sisters were in town for a weekend, and so I took advantage of any time I could spend with them while they were here.
We started out Friday night at my dad's house for a combined birthday party for Amanda and Talon. It was a lot of fun to all be there together! And of course, we had yummy food to add to the fun!

The next day we took all the kids to Discovery Gateway. It was a first for all of us, and they all seemed to love it. I think the thing they all loved the most was the freedom to run around and do anything they wanted! Everything was super kid friendly for all of the different ages we had (even the oldest had fun!), so it was great to see them enjoy themselves.


Later that night we ate at The Old Spaghetti Factory! My FAVORITE!!! It was so delish and a fun way for us to part ways again! :) Miss them already...

Eye surgery #4 and #5

Well, I'm back into the surgery mode apparently! I knew that I would have another surgery to have the silicon oil removed and an artificial lens put in, but I didn't know that I would be back for another one in a week and a half!
So #4 surgery went well. I went in for that one on March 11th. I asked the doctor before surgery if I would be finally able to see out of my left eye and he told me not for awhile. So I expected not to see anything.
I went in for the usual one week appointment after surgery, and the doctor came into the office and asked if I could see anything out of my eye. When I told him no, and that it was completely black now, he said that wasn't a good thing. Needless to say, that's where I ended up back in surgery less than a week later, on March 23rd, for a detached retina.
The dr. also told me that he has only seen 2 other people have to have the oil put back in their eye, and I was the third. Yay for my odds, right?!
So at this point, all we can do is wait and 'see' if it will work. Ugh.

Disney on Ice

My sister won tickets to Disney on Ice and let us go with her and her family. We are so happy she invited us (THANKS AGAIN!). We had such a good time! Zack absolutely loved it, and like a lot of things, he keeps asking if we can go again. It was a lot of fun to go with my nieces too! They are so funny!
