Fun times yet again!

I have had yet another fun month and need to catch up! We've been busy with this and that, but mostly February consisted of doing a lot of cleaning/scrubing/laundry with Zack throwing up almost everyday, but I think (knock on wood please!) we are on the up and up and haven't had any major episodes in several days... so March is looking up for us on that end!
We also headed south again to the ever sunny St. George! What an awesome weekend to go too. So nice and sunny/warm for February, there were no complaints when short sleeves and capri's and shorts came out!

We got a new Wii game called "Just Dance". The guys are usually better than the girls! WHAT?!

And then the most recent is taking Zack to the park! He loves it and I love it because we get to get outside again, and it's free!! What could be better?!

Updates of January

Another month has gone by, so I need to try to keep up! On the 14th, my sister Amanda and her cute little family moved to St. George (after much struggle... losing their house a week before closing and a car accident to name a few!) so of course we went with them to help them move. We drove late Thursday night to get there, and we got there in time to go to bed. The downside was that their heat wasn't turned on yet, so we snuggled up to keep warm through the night (luckily we were in St. George where it was warmer than SLC, but it was still winter for sure!). The next couple of days we were unloading boxes and cleaning... but we were still able to sneak in some fun with games and mad libs!! :> I sure miss them already, but am so glad that they are happy and getting settled.


Just before Amanda moved, we went with my other sister Amber to IKEA to walk around a just hang out before Amanda moved. It ended up being a silly time and good to be with each other. We just missed having Bitty Sue there with us that day...

I am feeling great!!

I have been working out now since about September, and I am feeling so good!! A neighbor of mine has been so awesome to give me a routine to follow, and I can't tell you how much that has helped me. It also helps a TON to have another neighbor come with me to the gym, Mon-Fri at 5:00AM!
Anyway, I am not saying this all to brag. Because if you know me, you know that things like working out and eating right all of the time are just not me!
But the reason for this post is because I was able to run for 20 minutes straight on the treadmill this morning!! I have never been able to run for that long in my life... and before this, I only pushed myself to 12 minutes. I feel like I accomplished something big today, only because I didn't think I had it in me. **Now side note, I know this doesn't sound like a long period of time to run in a row if you are a runner, but let's just say I told my neighbor when she started coming with me that I would rather die than get on the treadmill!!** So yay for me today!

Christmas/New Year

Now that the holiday season has passed, I might as well post my updates! I need to start out by saying I am so blessed and have such wonderful family and friends!! So thank you to all of you who made my Christmas/New Year season so wonderful this year!
We start out by having Zack meet Santa. I don't know if there is much to say because the picture says it all!!

Then we have Christmas Sunday. This was one of the highlights for me. We all got some new church clothes (and tried to get a decent picture...) which was fun. But this year I was asked to play the piano for the choir performance at church. At first I was SUPER nervous to play, but as my mom helped me feel more confident, I ended up really enjoying it. The whole time the spirit was so strong, I had to keep wiping my eyes dry so I could actually see the notes! And it really made my day when my mom and sister's came to support me. That's what family is for, right?! LOVES!!!


Then we move onto Christmas Eve. We went to my mom's house and had a yummy dinner and opened gifts. We were once again spoiled! We got sleeping bags, yahtzee :>, a movie, and Zack got the CUTEST little outfit for church, just to name a few there.

Then onto Christmas Day! I know it just gets better from here, but I LOVED Christmas morning with Zack this year!! He was so funny. He started getting the hang of opening presents and whenever he would open one, he immediately had to play with it. It was great to see how much he loved his slide too. That was the best!
Jared actually used crepe paper for ribbon on one of my presents! Surprised? Me either!


OH!! And lately Zack has had an obsession with babies! Yes, babies. So with Jared's permission, we got him his own little baby. Don't worry, we'll phase this out slowly! :>

Then we spent time at Jared's parents house where we got some new luggage and his parents told everyone they were taking us all on a trip to Florida in October. Yay!!
And finally New Year's Eve. I am so sad I didn't have my camera with me for this, but this was one of my favorites! We went to my mom's house with all of my sister's and their fam (and a boyfriend!) and played the Wii and the game Curses. Hahaha! We laughed so hard all night long, had so much food, and just loved every minute of the night.
Whoosh, LONG post! But we should be up to date now!!

Christmas Fun!

We have had such a fun month so far! Already full of so many memories and fun times.
We made gingerbread houses with Jared's family. I have never made one before, so it was really fun for me... and I already have a few ideas for next year's!

Then we went with our favorite neighbor's to Temple Square to see the lights. Always a fun tradition, but it was super cold that night. We bundled Zack up so tight that he looked like Randy from "A Christmas Story" (I can't put my arms down!) Hahaha!

On Saturday, Jared had his work Christmas party in Park City. We took a sleigh ride to get to dinner (which was fun, but I don't like being cold!) and then had a good time at the party.

A quick story... When we got there, they had cider and hot chocolate. Jared went to get me some hot chocolate and came back and said he almost got me drunk! He said the waiter asked him if he wanted peppermint flavor in the drink, and Jared knowing I love the candy cane hot chocolate, said yes. As the waiter got out the bottle to pour it in, Jared asked if it was just flavoring (which of course it wasn't!). Jared quickly said no thanks, but said it was a close call because the lid was already off the bottle and everything! Whoosh for me!! But my highlight of that whole night was the car ride to and from Park City. Jared and I got silly and were singing Christmas songs together, and man, we are good!!

And then finally on Sunday we went to my mom's house for Josh's birthday/white elephant exchange/ugly sweater night! What a FUN time!! As usual, we had yummy food (especially the cake that was almost stolen!) and then we had Josh open his birthday presents and then we all exchanged white elephant gifts. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time!! We all had some 'great' gifts! There was one particular present that Zack either liked a lot, or he was scared a lot, but either way I couldn't get under control from my laughter to get a good picture of it! Let's just say, you had to be there!

Thanksgiving weekend

Mom and sister's on Thanksgiving. This is something to be thankful for!!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year. We were able to make it to both my family and Jared's family for Thanksgiving Day... Up first was with my family (Grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, sisters and Mom) were all there!! It was so nice to be with everyone.
After a good visit, we went to Jared's parent's house for the rest of the night. Jared's "aunt" (really his cousin, but he always called her "aunt") was there, and she was so great to get to know. We also were in charge of making the turkey for the whole fam (We had such success last year, everyone wanted to try it!)... talk about pressure, but we pulled it off and it was yum!
Friday morning, this is one of the first year's that I have not done the official Black Friday shopping, but I did make it out early in the morning (8:00ish) to go out and get a few things. I love that day!!

Then on Saturday! We had some family pics taken, watched BYU beat UTAH in the football game, and then went to see New Moon with Jared's sisters (This was of course my second time seeing it though.). What a fun weekend we had.

The Park

My sisters and I went to the West Jordan park last week to enjoy the last minutes of a warm sun before the snow came! What a fun park!! They had so many cute things in the play ground... an 'older kid' side and a 'little kid' side to it. It was awesome to see Zack trying to play (even though he is still little for everything), but it was even more fun to just be out with my sisters! Thanks for a fun day out!
